I set your hoop on fire
Well. I had planned to just stay home tomorrow and TCOB. I have a paper due on Monday on which I really need to make some headway. But I was just reminded that I volunteered to pick Alison Wylie up from the airport so she can participate in a little conference we are hosting here. I'm happy to do it, and I look forward to standing there in the baggage claim holding up a sign that says "Wylie," but the whole thing is making me anxious -- making me think I'm never going to finish this paper or the one that is due on Thursday.All of this just reminds me that I hate writing papers for classes. I just want to write papers about my own research. But hoops -- hoops when they're hoisted must be jumped through.
